Background
Mariann Szegő studied at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. She graduated in 2000 as a lawyer. In 2010 she received her LL.M. degree in the field of corporate law.
Since 2014 Mariann Szegő has worked as of counsel at SAXINGER Budapest. She was admitted to the bar in 2013. Between 2000 and 2013 she worked as a judge first at the Budaörs District Court, later at the Regional Court Precinct Budapest, where she dealt with commercial civil law cases. At the Regional Court she primarily presided over cases of warranty and damage claims, liability of managing directors, validity of corporate resolutions, claims based on service agreements, credit and loan agreements, invalidity cases under the Insolvency Act, in many events also so called priority cases, where the value of the claim exceeds HUF 400 million.
Area of specialization: compensation law, company and corporate law, contract law and general terms and conditions, real estate law, construction law, legal representation under civil law.

Having been a judge for more than a decade, Mariann Szegő gained comprehensive experience in the field of civil law procedures. Her main area of expertise is contract law and civil law proceedings, but she advises national and international clients in the full range of civil law.
